Village Board Approves Development Agreement

The following statement was issued today by Dave DeGroot, President of the Village of Mount Pleasant:

Tonight, the Village Board approved a Development Agreement with Foxconn that outlines the responsibilities of the company, the Village of Mount Pleasant and the County, along with key guarantees and protections for local taxpayers.

The agreement ensures that the project is fully funded through Foxconn investments, protecting Village taxpayers and fully capitalizing on this once-in-a-generation opportunity for our community.

This is a significant step forward for the project, and I am proud of my colleagues on the Village Board for their leadership in pursuing what is best for the future of our Village.
