DNR: Foxconn To Create More Wetlands Than It Fills

As reported in the Racine Journal Times, DNR policy adviser Eric Ebersberger recently explained thatFoxconn will create double the amount of wetland acreage that it fills in during construction.

Ebersberger explained that Wisconsin law requires companies that fill wetlands to create 1.2 acres for every 1.0 acre filled. Wisconsin Act 58 requires Foxconn to restore 2.0 acres for every 1.0 acre filled.
