"Golden Shovel Award" Given to Foxconn for Hiring Disadvantaged Businesses

Recently, the National Association of Minority Contractors Wisconsin Chapter (NAMC - WI) and the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) recognized Foxconn Technology Group for the company's ongoing commitment to engage a diverse range of local businesses as part of its inclusive, Wisconsin-first approach.

To-date, 16 percent of contracted work done on the company's development in Mount Pleasant has been done by "disadvantaged business enterprises," exceeding the state's mandate of 10 percent, according to Foxconn Director of Business Development Shawn McComb.
