Judge Rules in Favor of Racine's Bid to Provide Water to Mount Pleasant TID 5

A Wisconsin administrative law judge has ruled in favor of the City of Racine's straddling community diversion application, requesting to divert water from Lake Michigan to supply developments and residents in Mount Pleasant TID 5.

"We are pleased with the decision," said Mount Pleasant Village President David DeGroot.

"This diversion will support broader I-94 corridor development, creating even more Racine County jobs, patrons and residents. It will enable us to provide clean, reliable, safe water to the residents and businesses that will locate to this area, and the thousands of workers they will employ. This will benefit the entire region, enabling jobs and economic development throughout the I-94 corridor, while ensuring that our area’s greatest natural resource is protected."
