Gateway Technical College Classes Ready Students for Foxconn and Beyond

At Gateway Technical College, students learn about advanced manufacturing and have exposure to hands-on experiences to learn the basics of everything from electrical circuits to robotics, helping them prepare for future careers with companies like Foxconn Technology Group.
Wisconsin Public Radio's Corri Hess recently spoke with a few such students who are looking forward to the opportunities opening up for them with Foxconn and other southeastern Wisconsin manufacturers.
“Anyone who possesses the skills taught in these programs will be in demand by employers,” says Ray Koukari, dean of Gateway's School of Manufacturing, Engineering and Information Technology. “Not only that, but employers from many different industries are seeking these skills in their workers.”
