Partnership Created to Restore Root-Pike Watershed

American Transmission Company (ATC), the company building the electrical power substation near the Foxconn project site in the Village of Mount Pleasant, will partner with Root-Pike Watershed Initiative Network (WIN) to restore a portion of the Lamparek Ditch in Mount Pleasant.

Restoration efforts will aim to promote clean water and ecosystem goals along one of the tributaries of the Pike River. The project will include the restoration of 46 acres between County Highway H and 90th Street.

"ATC understands 'win-win' and sets a great example for corporate environmental stewardship," says Dave Giordano, Executive Director of Root-Pike WIN. "They listened to the needs in our Pike River Watershed Restoration Plan and quickly stepped up."
